Bienprêter investors prioritise diversification in P2P
Investors in French peer-to-peer lending platform Bienprêter value the diversification that the sector adds to their investment portfolios, a new survey has found.
92.5 per cent of the respondents said that diversification was their key motivation for investing in P2P. 83.3 per cent said they were attracted to the high returns offered by the sector, while 59 per cent said they liked the opportunity to generate passive income.
Elsewhere in the survey, 91.8 per cent of investors told Bienprêter that they were happy with its service and would recommend the platform to their loved ones.

The survey also found that Bienprêter’s users are active retail investors, placing between €2,000 (£1,732) and €10,000 per year on one or even several P2P and crowdfunding platforms.
More than a quarter (27 per cent) of the respondents said that they invest less than €2,000 per year in P2P and crowdfunding, which Bienprêter said was evidence of the flexibility and financial accessibility of these investments.
“Crowdfunding becomes your preferred alternative to traditional savings tools,” said Bienprêter in a blog post.
“The financial accessibility and flexibility of crowdfunding appeals to you. You choose projects that suit you.”
The survey also found that while the platform’s investors are attracted to the higher returns being offered, 52 per cent said they would accept a lower return if the project has an environmental benefit.

“You appreciate the ease of use of our platform, the quality of the information offered and the support of customer service.
“These elements are essential to us, and we will continue to work to perfect them.”
