Orrick adds to fast-growing structured finance team with New York hire
Law firm Orrick has appointed Steve Lozner to its structured finance team as a partner in New York, with a focus on collateralised loan obligations (CLOs) and related leveraged loan warehouse facilities.
Lozner, who joins from global law firm DLA Piper, represents investment banks, financial institutions, issuers, collateral managers and institutional investors in a range of matters involving the securitisation of CLOs and a variety of asset-backed securitisations (ABS).

Since October 2025, Orrick has doubled the size of its structured finance team, from 49 to 102 lawyers, including 35 partners.
The team was bolstered by the addition of a 37-strong CLO and asset-backed lending team from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft in October last year.
In April this year, Orrick hired two ABS partners, Suzanne Bell and William Bibby, who also joined from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.
Orrick hired four more partners to its structured finance practice in June, three of which are based at its offices in the US, while one is based in London.
“We’re thrilled with the calibre of talent that has joined our structured finance team, doubling in scale over the past 10 months and creating an unmatched platform to help our clients innovate across asset classes and at the intersection with private credit,” said Leah Sanzari, Orrick’s global structured finance group leader. “Steve adds another high-quality practitioner as we meet demand from our clients and support them in executing on their dealflow.”
Lozner added: “Orrick’s commitment to structured finance is unsurpassed and I am excited to collaborate with the world-class team they have attracted.”
The global law firm is focused on four sectors, including technology and innovation, energy and infrastructure, finance, and life sciences and healthtech.
