BCLP hires structured finance partner in London
Global law firm BCLP has appointed Jérémie Bismuth as a partner in its London-based Corporate & Finance Transactions Department.
Bismuth will focus on structured finance and securitisation, advising financial institutions, arrangers, originators and development finance organisations.
Qualified as both an English and French solicitor, Bismuth advises on domestic and cross-border deals across a range of asset classes. His work is primarily focused on the UK and France, as well as northern, sub-Saharan and western Africa.
BCLP said the appointment would strengthen its securitisation and structured finance capabilities and expand its expertise in structured debt, which is a strategic area of focus for the firm.

“I was drawn to BCLP because of its ambitious growth strategy and believe my practice will integrate seamlessly alongside the finance, infrastructure and energy sector teams,” Bismuth said. “The firm’s established presence in Africa will allow me to continue to pursue opportunities in the region, particularly cross-border and emerging-market transactions.”
Carol Osborne, BCLP partner and global department leader for corporate and finance transactions, said the hire marked an important step in the firm’s strategy to expand its structured finance offering.
“Widely respected in the market, he combines exceptional technical knowledge with a highly commercial approach to client service,” she said.
“His arrival enhances our ability to meet growing client demand for structured products in London and further strengthens our broader finance platform.”
Bismuth will work alongside real estate partner Will Trotman, who advises on structured products in the property sector.
