Law firm Freshfields adds private capital partner in New York
Freshfields has added Ryan Blicher as a private capital and M&A partner based in New York.
Blicher was previously a senior associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, having joined in September 2014.
His experience spans a broad range of sectors, including global private equity firms and their portfolio companies on leveraged buy-outs, investments, and formative US and cross-border M&A transactions.

Over the past two years, Freshfields has expanded its private capital offering with a number of appointments in private equity, leveraged finance and private funds and secondaries across the US, Europe and Asia.
In the US, those additions include New York-based global co-head of private capital Neal J. Reenan, head of US private capital Ian N. Bushner, head of New York private equity Claire James, head of US leveraged finance Allison Liff, global co-head of private funds and secondaries Timothy J. Clark, head of US private credit and capital solutions Damian Ridealgh, as well as partners Ivet Bell and Eva Mak.
Meanwhile, private capital lawyers Paul Stewart, Mark Davis and Nick Fortune joined as partners in the firm’s global transactions practice in London earlier this month.
