CrowdProperty hires compliance expert, launches investor index
CrowdProperty has appointed a compliance expert to join its senior management team, and announced the launch of a new property developer and investor index.
Former Goldman Sachs executive Richard Sinfield has been named head of compliance at the property lending platform.
Sinfield has 25 years’ experience working in the UK, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He has previously worked at Reuters and Bankers Trust, and began his compliance career at Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs.
“Richard’s expertise in compliance is second to none and the experience he brings in training staff and firms on their regulatory obligations and responsibilities will strengthen CrowdProperty’s position as the business continues to drive growth and scale rapidly,” said Steve Morgan, chief finance officer at CrowdProperty.

Sinfield added that he is excited to work with CrowdProperty, saying that the platform has “an excellent reputation in the industry and an ambitious business growth strategy.”
CrowdProperty has also launched a new property developer and investor index, which will publish quarterly insights from small- and medium-sized property developers as well as property investor trends.
“It’s always good to know what other people in your industry are thinking and planning – especially in uncertain times like these,” said CrowdProperty in a communication to investors.

“Gauging the market can help confirm or counter your own thoughts and resulting actions. And yet, small and medium sized developers and investors are rarely asked for their opinions and sentiment.
“At CrowdProperty we’ve decided to change that.”
The first CrowdProperty Property Developer & Investor Index will be published soon, and investors and borrowers have been invited to share their views via a survey on the platform.
