CIFC hires Nick White to drive European growth
Miami-headquartered CIFC Asset Management has expanded its European presence with the appointment of Nick White as managing director.
The $47bn (£35.4bn) alternative credit manager first entered Europe in 2018, when it opened a London office. The firm said White’s appointment as managing director, European marketing and investor relations, further strengthens that presence.
In the role, White will expand CIFC’s engagement with investors across Europe, spanning both institutional and wealth channels, and support the firm’s activity in the region.

“Europe is already an important part of CIFC, and the strong business we have built in the region, with approximately $5.7bn of assets today, gives us a meaningful foundation from which to continue growing,” said Steve Vaccaro, CIFC’s chief executive and chief investment officer.
“Nick brings extensive experience across European asset management, investor relationships and business development. His appointment reflects both the opportunity we see in Europe and our commitment to investing behind that growth.”

Before joining CIFC, White founded Seafield Capital Partners, a specialist asset management distribution and advisory business. He was previously head of UK and European distribution at Nedgroup Investments and also worked at Carmignac, where he became a partner.
“CIFC has significant depth across specialist credit markets, and we believe considerably more of it can be made relevant to investors across Europe,” said White.
“Alongside continuing to support our existing strategies, we will be focused on listening closely to clients, strengthening long-term relationships and identifying where CIFC’s capabilities across structured credit, corporate credit and private credit can address evolving portfolio needs.”
