Pemberton hires Investcorp’s Courtman to lead CLO arm
Pemberton Asset Management has appointed Investcorp’s Dominic Courtman to head its €1.6bn (£1.4bn) collateralised loan obligation (CLO) platform.
Courtman, currently managing director, deputy chief investment officer and senior portfolio manager at Investcorp, will join the $34bn (£25.7bn) European asset manager as managing director and head of its CLO group in January 2027.
The appointment comes as Rob Reynolds, Pemberton’s current head of CLOs, steps back from the role to pursue other opportunities.
“We are delighted to welcome Dominic to lead Pemberton’s growing CLO platform,” said Ben Gulliver, head of portfolio management and co-head of direct lending. “Dominic brings a wealth of experience from over 30 years in the industry and will be instrumental progressing the expansion of the platform.”
Last year, Pemberton’s CLO platform issued two new CLOs under its Indigo series, Indigo III and Indigo IV, and repriced Indigo I. The firm said it has further issues planned under the series.
“I would like to thank Rob for his contribution to Pemberton over the past five years,” Gulliver added. “During his time with Pemberton, Rob has overseen the establishment and development of the Pemberton Indigo CLO platform and has contributed more broadly to the firm.”
