Kartesia deploys €88m across aviation and maritime deals
Kartesia Asset Finance (KAF) has completed three investments totalling €88m (£74.4m) from its KAF III fund, spanning the aviation, maritime and logistics sectors across Europe and the US.
The transactions follow the close of KAF III at €366m, including €50m of commitments from the European Investment Fund.
The investments comprise a €17m refinancing of three helicopters operated in Spain for search and rescue missions, €36m of financing for a diversified portfolio of logistics assets in Spain, including semi-trailers and refrigerated containers, and a €35m refinancing of a fleet of specialised marine vessels serving the offshore wind sector in the US.

“Completing three transactions representing €88m in only a few months demonstrates both the depth of our pipeline and our ability to convert opportunities into investments efficiently, while maintaining our underwriting discipline,” said Fabrice Fraikin, managing partner at Kartesia Asset Finance.
“As our platform continues to scale, our ambition is to deploy between €300m and €400m annually across our asset finance strategies.”
Beyond these initial deals, KAF III is expected to back a further 15 to 20 transactions secured against assets essential to borrowers’ operations, the firm said. The fund has a target size of €500m.
