Northleaf bolsters C-suite with new COO and CFO
Private markets firm Northleaf Capital Partners has made a series of executive leadership appointments, including new additions to its C-suite.
The Toronto-headquartered manager has appointed Michelle Joliat as chief operating officer (COO), effective in August, and Nadim Vasanji as chief financial officer (CFO) and head of corporate development, effective in October.
Both Joliat and Vasanji succeed Jeff Lucassen, who was appointed joint CFO and COO of Northleaf in 2017. Northleaf has now appointed him to the newly created role of vice-chair, finance and operations, effective in October.

The firm said the creation of separate COO and CFO roles reflects the continued growth of Northleaf, which has raised more than $31bn (£22.9bn) in private equity and venture capital, private credit and infrastructure commitments to date.
“Michelle and Nadim bring exceptional leadership and complementary expertise that will further strengthen our operating platform and the disciplined execution of our long-term strategy,” said Stuart Waugh, managing partner of Northleaf. “Over the past nine years, Jeff has played an instrumental role in helping the firm build its operational capabilities, and we are pleased he will continue to contribute to the firm in his new role.”
