Global executive recruitment firm True has launched a dedicated private credit practice to support private credit firms with executive appointments.

The new practice will be led by Rick Bank, managing director and head of private credit and private equity practices at True.

The new practice will support appointments including chief executives, chief financial officers, chief operating officers and board members, alongside investment and operational roles within private credit firms.

It will also work with TrueBridge, the firm’s interim executive recruitment platform, to provide temporary leadership while permanent appointments are made.

“Private credit creates a very different talent question from traditional private equity,” said Bank.

“The decision often has to account for where the business is today, what the lender is trying to accomplish and what kind of executive can operate effectively within those conditions. That can mean solving for immediate stability while also identifying someone who can take the company through its next phase.”
