HeavyFinance appoints new head of lending
Alternative lender HeavyFinance has announced the appointment of Marek Kujawa as its new head of lending.
Kujawa has more than 20 years experience in the financial sector, and specialises in risk management and sustainable finance.
In his new role, he will work to strengthen and expand HeavyFinance’s lending operations, the company said.

“Marek’s extensive knowledge of risk management and sustainable finance will be instrumental in our growth,” said Laimonas Noreika, chief executive and co-founder of HeavyFinance.
“His leadership will help us strengthen our risk framework while maintaining our commitment to environmental sustainability.”

HeavyFinance is a climate technology firm which lends to agricultural borrowers across Europe. The company has been growing over the past year, inking a portfolio guarantee of up to €10.5m (£8.7m) with the European Investment Fund to support agricultural businesses in Poland and Lithuania; and entering into a partnership with Multitude Bank which will see the bank invest €14m into the platforms loans.
Kujawa’s appointment aims to ensure that the company’s loan portfolio remains strong and well balanced while HeavyFinance continues to scale, the company said.
