Bondora investors earned record returns in December
Bondora paid out €2,946,072 (£2,484,289.94) in investor returns in December, representing the highest monthly return amount of 2024.
The European peer-to-peer lending platform also reported that loan issuances increased by 11.2 per cent in December 2024, reaching a total of €27,629,103.
In its latest update to investors, Bondora said that the rise in issuances was driven by the Finnish market which made up 63.5 per cent of the platform’s total originations.
In Finland, loan customers originated €17,548,414 worth of loans, a rise of 20.8 per cent from November.

The Netherlands’ loan volume remained quite stable, increasing by 0.9 per cent to €4,638,712. However, originations slowed in the Estonian and Latvian markets.
“Our Estonian market decreased slightly with 3.9 per cent to a total of €5,141,089 loans being originated,” said Bondora.
“Activity in Latvia continues to cool down, with a total of €300,888 in originations, translating to a 21.2 per cent decline.”

In December, 1,964 people created new Bondora investor accounts. Over the course of the month, the platform’s investors added a total of €27,205,330 to their Go & Grow accounts.
Last year, Bondora Group reported a 59 per cent year-on-year increase in profits to €3.4m) in its 2023 financial results. The lending platform also posted revenue of €44.4m, up 21 per cent compared with 2022.
