Bondora originates record €32.8m
European peer-to-peer lending marketplace Bondora has reported a record €32,820,738 (£28,029,702.50) worth of loan originations in July.
The monthly loan originations were up by 33.6 per cent compared to June, when the total was the firm’s highest at that point at €24,567,566.
The platform also celebrated its €1bn investment milestone in July, by raising its investment limit for investors.

Lending in the Netherlands saw a 53.1 per cent growth rate, up from €4,235,920 in June to €6,487,000 in July.
In Finland, the firm originated €20,371,910 worth of loans, a 33.1 per cent increase on June’s €15,300,339.
Bondora’s most recently launched credit market, Latvia, saw originations rise by 51.3 per cent to €223,344 in July.
In Estonia it originated €5,738,484 in loans, which marked a 17.5 per cent increase from June.

Finland continued to hold the largest share of loan originations at 62 per cent, while the Netherlands took over from Estonia with second largest market at 20 per cent of all originations, compared to Estonia’s 17 per cent. Latvia reported a 1 per cent share of originations.
Bondora also reported a record-breaking €28,156,675 of investment in Go & Grow accounts, more than double the amount invested in June.
It is the highest figure since October 2019, when a previous record €20,611,382 was invested. Investors earned €2,427,021 in returns in July.
