Mintos launches in Germany
Mintos has officially launched in the German market.
The Latvia-headquartered lending marketplace has unveiled an array of investor incentives in Germany to celebrate its launch.
Investors who refer a friend will each earn €50 (£43) and an additional 25 per cent bonus, while the friend will receive €50 and a one per cent bonus on their average investment for the first 90 days.
Investors in Germany who refer two or more friends will be in with a chance of winning one of 100 Mintos Deutschland sweatshirts.
Mintos has expanded its offering in recent months from its core business of connecting investors with loan originators worldwide.
The European lending marketplace unveiled its fractional bond product in October last year, enabling investors to add corporate bonds to their portfolios.

“Historically, bonds, especially high-yield bonds, have been out of reach for retail investors without substantial capital,” Mintos said in a blog post on its website. “On Mintos, instead of purchasing an entire bond, investors can buy small fractions of it, starting at just €50. They are called ‘fractional’ because they offer access to small parts of a larger underlying asset that an investor might otherwise not be able to afford. A game-changer for bond investments, they offer a practical and affordable way for retail investors to access specific bonds.”
It also launched personalised exchange traded funds (ETFs) last month.
“Ranging from conservative to growth-oriented, the composition of assets within each ETF portfolio is adjusted to fit your investment goals and risk tolerance,” Mintos said. “ETFs included in Mintos Core ETF portfolios are well-suited for long-term growth and risk management.”
These products are now available to investors in Germany, alongside its original loan product.
“Mintos partners with lending companies worldwide, allowing investors to access a diverse range of loans,” Mintos said. “These lending companies provide financing to individuals and small businesses. This broad investment opportunity allows retail investors to potentially earn attractive returns and to benefit from global financial diversification.”
