Call for UK fintechs to reveal their global expansion plans
UK fintechs have been urged to give their views on global expansion for a new survey that will be unveiled as a visualisation tool at the Innovate Finance Global Summit next month.
The Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF), Cambridge Judge Business School and Innovate Finance have collaborated on the survey, with the support of the Department for Business and Trade, the City of London Corporation and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development office.

“How many UK fintechs are expanding into overseas markets operationally?” asked Bryan Zhang, co-founder and executive director at CCAF in a LinkedIn post.
“What are some popular regions and top destinations for fintech expansion? How many UK fintechs are currently offering digital financial services and products to consumers and SMEs in which jurisdiction or globally?
“These are some of the important questions we are asking the UK fintech community through a major collaborative survey.”

The survey findings will inform fintech market development, policymaking and regulation to better enable UK fintechs to expand and scale regionally and globally, which is vital for the industry,” Zhang added.
More than 50 fintechs have already completed the survey, which takes five to 10 minutes, ahead of the 5 April deadline.
