Fintech among most popular sectors for Seedrs investors
Seedrs investors have ranked fintech companies in the top five sectors that they are keen to invest in.
The recent annual Seedrs Investors Survey asked investors where they would like to put their money in the year ahead, and fintech was one of the most popular responses.
“Fintech remains one of the biggest sectors of interest for investors on the Seedrs platform,” a Seedrs spokesperson told Peer2Peer Finance News.
“For 2022, equity crowdfunding into fintech has remained stable and even grown slightly. For example, neobroker BUX raised over €16m (£14m) in October, 106 per cent over target, and Revolut remains one of the top traded shares on Seedrs secondary market.

“This is in contrast to the broader investment landscape, where we have seen a reduction in valuation for big fintech names and a more apprehensive investment environment.”
Seedrs added that November 2022 saw the highest number of fintech campaigns go live in the year (eight).
A number of peer-to-peer lending platforms have used Seedrs to fundraise in recent years. Last August, former P2P giant Assetz Capital raised £296,258 from 234 investors, surpassing its original target of £250,000. CrowdProperty, Loanpad and EstateGuru have also completed successful funding rounds on the platform.
