Zopa leads financial resilience programme
Zopa is leading a new financial resilience education programme for those hit hardest by the cost-of-living crisis.
The challenger bank, along with 27 other members of the 2025 Fintech Pledge, will kick off the programme with a series of workshops starting in March. These workshops aim to engage thousands of people in a free open online course, alongside interactive workshops for smaller community groups. They will run until December 2025.
The first year of operations will be funded by Zopa bank and credit marketplace ClearScore. The programme will be rolled out in partnership with The Money Charity.

“After successful member growth over the last few months, the 2025 Fintech Pledge is now entering its next phase with the launch of a broad financial education programme to drive more financial resilience,” said Merve Ferrrero, chief strategy officer at Zopa.
“We are thrilled to be supporting The Money Charity in this ambitious programme that will help Brits better manage their finances, leading to better financial outcomes for hundreds of consumers.”
The 2025 Fintech Pledge has recently added five new members: education platform Claro, lending platform Freedom Finance, cross-border credit bureau Nova Credit, financial services API platform Slipstream, and financial wellbeing provider WealthWizards.

The pledge aims to drive 10 million consumer actions by 2025 that will help to build up the financial resilience of UK customers. These actions focus on four key pillars: making savings work harder; improving credit scores; consolidating debt; and lowering utility bills.
“We are delighted to be partnering with the 2025 Fintech Pledge to reach many more people with our vital financial wellbeing training and through the development of a new and exciting online offering,” said Michelle Highman, chief executive of The Money Charity.
“Now more than ever, we need to work together to reach and help as many people as possible.”
