Aon hires Nicola Mondone to lead ABF and securitisation unit
Global insurer Aon has appointed Nicola Mondone as head of asset-backed finance (ABF) and securitisation within its credit solutions division.
In the role, Mondone will help banks and other financial institutions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa raise capital from insurance companies, with a focus on the securitisation of credit portfolios and ABF transactions.
He will also help lenders tap rising demand from insurers and investors to fund credit markets.

“Nicola joins our team with over 20 years of experience in the credit risk industry, bringing a strong track record in structuring and distributing insurance solutions for banks’ significant risk transfer securitisations and asset-backed credit risk transfer transactions,” Aon said in a statement on LinkedIn.

Prior to joining Aon, Mondone was a senior vice-president at global risk and reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter. Before that, he held roles at property and casualty insurer AmTrust Financial Services and life insurer Genworth.
