Alternative investment manager AIP Capital, which focuses on opportunities in asset-based finance, has appointed Matt Stevens as managing director to lead its commercial efforts in the Americas.

Prior to joining AIP Capital, Stevens served as vice president, marketing for Air Lease Corporation where he was responsible for leading origination with airlines across the Americas and Spain.
