Beach Point hires new MD to unlock greater institutional capital
Global alternative investment firm Beach Point Capital Management has appointed Fred Storz as a managing director to grow the firm’s institutional partnerships and client platform.
In his role, Storz will support investor relations, capital formation and product development initiatives at Beach Point, expanding its institutional relationships, with a particular focus on Midwestern US investors. He will partner with Eric Storch, global head of client partnerships and business development at the firm.
California-headquartered firm Beach Point, which has $20bn (£14.7bn) of assets under management, said Storz’s appointment is effective immediately and that he will be based in the firm’s New York office.

“Fred combines deep institutional relationships with a strong track record in building and scaling client platforms,” said Storch. “As we continue to grow across our alternatives strategies, his perspective will help us more effectively connect our capabilities with investor demand, particularly in key markets like the Midwest.”
Before joining Beach Point, Storz worked at Energy Capital Partners, where he served as managing director of investor relations. Prior to Energy Capital Partners, Storz was head of business development and partner relations at Farmstead Capital and a vice president on the prime services capital introduction team at Goldman Sachs.
