The fund will initially only be open to professional investors, but will open up to non-professional investors in the private banking segment later this year.

SEB said the launch will enhance its alternative investment platform and open opportunities in the growing private debt market, which aligns with its strategic goal of expanding in the wealth and asset management market.
The fund will focus on Northern Europe, where both SEB and Capital Four already have a strong presence.
It will issue high-yielding loans with low credit loss risk to mid-sized companies, and the loans will be among the first in line to be repaid in case of bankruptcy or loan restructuring.
