Octopus launches new institutional AM brand
Octopus has launched a new brand for the institutional asset management arm of Octopus Investments.
The new brand, Octopus Capital, will focus on supporting institutional clients, separating it from the retail asset management side of the business.
Both arms have been under the same brand, Octopus Investments, for 25 years, but the company said its growth ambitions for both parts of the business necessitate separate brands.

Octopus Capital is now investing into three areas it believes could have the greatest impact for institutional investors – real estate, infrastructure and private debt.
The Octopus Real Estate brand will no longer be used as this area will become part of Octopus Capital.
Earlier this year, Octopus expanded into private credit with the launch of a new team, focusing on asset-backed lending in infrastructure and real estate.

“Institutional investors, on behalf of the people whose money they are entrusted to manage, have a uniquely heightened sense of responsibility to deliver financial security, while also making the world a better place,” said Lieven Debruyne, CEO of Octopus Capital.
“Balancing this need for attractive financial returns and generating those returns in a positive way, while being mindful of portfolio allocations and diversification, has never been more imperative.
“By investing in the right people, ideas and industries, institutional capital can be a force for good and has the power to make our vision of tomorrow a reality. We’re incredibly excited about our new brand and how it underlines our intention to deliver investment excellence on behalf of our investors.”
