Petra Funds appoints private equity veteran as chief financial officer
Petra Funds Group, an independent private funds administrator, has appointed 20-year private equity veteran John Beczak as the firm’s chief financial officer.
The move further expands Petra’s leadership bench of executives with experience at established private markets firms.

Beczak, in his two decades in private equity, was most recently chief financial officer at Resource Capital Funds, where he oversaw all fund financial, accounting, reporting and operational functions for the global alternative investment firm.
Prior to that he held a number of senior finance roles including Fund chief financial officer for multiple strategies in the global market strategies segment at private equity firm Carlyle.
Beczak has also held finance, operations and accounting roles at The Olayan Group, Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse.

Beczak said he is joining at “a pivotal time in the fund administration industry”.
