2023 may have been an uncertain year for the tech industry, but the signs for 2024 are indicating a better 12 months ahead.
Last year was dominated by mass layoffs and a difficult founding environment, but moving forward, the UK tech sector is performing well, with digital transformation driving growth, according to a report from HBSC.
AI will continue to be a source of strong potential for the industry, and is heavily supported by the government in the form of the National AI Strategy and Action Plan. Also in growth are software, IT managed services, telecoms as well as continuing growth in the use of remote technologies, according to the report.

Senior Site Reliability Engineer (OCI), Oracle, Reading
As part of the Operational Engagement programs, the Senior Site Reliability Engineer will be instrumental in fostering a culture of SRE for horizontal activities and DevOps for products and tools across global operations teams. You will work with multiple service development teams, identifying cross-team issues which create risk for operations across the organisation, and resolving those issues with a mixture of engineering, troubleshooting expertise, and general operational guidance.
