New survey to take temperature of European crowdfunding
A new survey aims to capture more information about the state of the peer-to-peer and crowdfunding sectors in Europe and the UK.
Launched today by the University of Agder’s School of Business and Law Crowdfunding Research Centre in Norway, the European Crowdfunding Market Survey will circulate among industry experts until 10 June 2023.
The survey is being supported by ten entities, including the UK Crowdfunding Association (UKCFA).
The research will cover every corner of the crowdfunding world, including securities-based crowdfunding, P2P lending, as well as rewards and donations platforms.

The aim of the survey is to capture the best data currently available on the European crowdfunding industry.
Following the approval of the European Crowdfunding Service Provider Regulations (ECPSR) – which allows platforms to raise capital across all EU member states – the sector is going through a transition period. The survey aims to assess how platforms are growing, funding themselves, attracting borrowers and lenders, and staying on top of their legal and regulatory responsibilities.

All data will be correlated at the country level and aggregated. None of the information will be sold and platforms will not be individually identified.
