Eurocrowd launches annual event in Spain
The European Crowdfunding Network (Eurocrowd) will launch the first annual meeting of its Spanish Strategic Group (SSG) on 18 May 2023 in Alicante, Spain.
Hosted by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the event will welcome the SSG to promote the emergence of a professional crowdfunding sector in Spain.
The event will include panel discussions and networking opportunities with crowdfunding platforms, public authorities, accelerators, and education providers.

The event offers four tracks: the crowdfunding market in Spain, the evolution of the crowdfunding market, interaction with public authorities and match-funding, and expectations for the full implementation of the new European Crowdfunding Service Providers Regulation.
Eurocrowd and EUIPO have been working together since 2020 via the Ideas Powered for Business network.
The network helps European small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to access centralised, clear, reliable, and relevant information and promotes the importance of intellectual property (IP) rights in gaining a competitive advantage.

The network’s SME Fund can cover different assets, including trademarks, designs, patents and plant varieties.
The partnership aims to address the challenges faced by European businesses in protecting their IP while raising funds through crowdfunding.
