Blend appoints head of portfolio management
Specialist development finance lender Blend Network has appointed Claire McGirr pictured) as head of portfolio management.
McGirr is an experienced property and finance expert with more than 25 years’ experience in the sector. She previously worked as head of portfolio management within the development finance team at Hampshire Trust Bank.
Prior to that she spent seven years at Barclays, where she was a case director within the business support and recoveries team.

In her new role at Blend, she will help to implement new systems and processes in order to boost the borrower journey. She will also play a key role in researching, analysing and developing new strategies and product ideas to complement Blend’s existing product line-up.
“Understanding real estate development and seeing the opportunity through our borrower’s eyes is at the heart of the Blend story, and Claire’s expertise in this area makes her a terrific addition to our team,” said David Alcock, managing director at Blend.
