Awards response highlights P2P excellence
The volume of nominations received for the Peer2Peer Finance Awards highlights the high quality of the UK’s peer-to-peer lending sector.
Following a call for nominations from industry insiders and retail investors, Suzie Neuwirth, founder and editor in chief of Peer2Peer Finance News, said that the response has been “phenomenal”.
“The sheer volume of entries is proof that the P2P sector is alive and kicking,” said Neuwirth.
“Our judges will have a tough task choosing a winner in each category.

“The high quality of the nominations received paints a picture of a sector which is bursting with potential. P2P platforms are becoming profitable, reaching huge new funding milestones, and keeping their default rates low, despite ongoing economic uncertainty.
“Most impressively, they are doing right by their customers, as the large number of entries for the Investors Choice award has shown.”
The judging process is set to begin next week, and the winners of each category will be announced at an awards ceremony on 6 December 2022 at London’s Hurlingham Club.
It will be the first ever awards ceremony dedicated to the UK’s P2P sector.
Judges include Innovate Finance chief executive Janine Hirt, former RateSetter chief executive Rhydian Lewis, and Neil Faulkner, the founder and managing director of 4th Way.
