Lendermarket investor interest payments near €6m
Lendermarket’s cumulative interest paid to investors neared €6m (£5.19m) in August, after the platform saw its loan volumes rise for the second month in a row.
The Dublin-based peer-to-peer lending marketplace said its investors earned €409,760 in returns in August, boosting the total amount of interest earned to almost €6m.
Investors funded a total of €9,740,687 worth of loans last month, which is 4.65 per cent more than the same time in August 2021.
29,147 new loans were added to the platform in August – a slight dip on the 31,366 new loans which were added in July.

The platform now has almost 11,000 registered investors who have funded more than €300m in consumer loans issued by European originators.
According to the platform’s investor updates, loan volumes dipped in June 2022 before recovering in July.
Lendermarket connects investors to alternative assets via a range of “carefully selected” lending partners from across Europe.
It is currently advertising target returns of 14.1 per cent per annum.
According to a blog on the company’s website, the number of active platform investors has been growing steadily month by month in the year to date.
