Seedrs launches venture partner programme
Seedrs has launched a new venture partner programme which brings together a community of venture capital firms and other investors to support start-ups and scale ups, and share deal flow across different markets.
The programme also aims to encourage collaboration and mentorship between experienced entrepreneurs and investors, and the businesses which are using Seedrs to fundraise.
The first cohort of the partner programme features Julian Callede, Made.com co-founder, Susanne Chishti, chief executive of Fintech Circle, and Hannah Forbes, a crowdfunding expert and a Women in Finance Award recipient.

“We are creating something special – an active community of experienced investors and operators that will share ideas, opportunities, events and news that will support ambitious startups both inside and outside the Seedrs ecosystem,” said Jeff Kelisky, chief executive of Seedrs.
“Furthermore, the programme’s ability to connect members globally through the Seedrs/Republic partnership will open up new and unique funding opportunities in this challenging economic climate.”
Last year, Seedrs was acquired by US investment group Republic, in a $100m (£75m) deal which aimed create the first global private investment marketplace with offerings across North America and Europe.
A number of peer-to-peer lending platforms have used Seedrs to raise funds for their own scale ups. These include Assetz Capital, EstateGuru and Sourced Capital.
