Former Relendex director launches payments firm
A former director of peer-to-peer lending platform Relendex has launched a new payments firm in Luxembourg.
Ivan Zhiznevsky was appointed a director of Relendex in June 2016 but resigned from the post on 26 June 2022.
He co-founded challenger bank 3S Money in June 2018. Last week, 3S Money won an electronic money institution license by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) in Luxembourg.
Just 12 other companies have been granted this license to date.

In a post on Linked In, Zhiznevsky said that the company had been working to get this license for more than two and a half years.
3S Money has opened an office in the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology, which will become the fintech’s European base.

“As we look to expand our business account and trade finance offering, Luxembourg is the ideal location to become our European headquarters,” said Zhiznevsky.
“This is a huge milestone in achieving our mission to break down barriers for businesses looking to scale globally.”
Zhiznevsky added that there are already nine people “and counting” staffing its Luxembourg office. The firm is continuing to invest in expansion across key regions such as the UK, Dubai, Latvia and Luxembourg, building out its compliance, product, and business development teams, and investing in R&D in the region.
