Alasdair Carlyle (pictured) has been named group property director at alternative property lender Sancus.
Carlyle is a chartered surveyor who specialises in the commercial and contractual aspects of development management including appraisals, cashflows, funding, investment and exit strategies.
He has more than three decades of experience within the property development and construction space. Over the past three years, he has worked with Sancus on a consultancy basis.
“I am delighted to now be joining such a dynamic business at this exciting time,” said Carlyle.

“I look forward to supporting all areas of the organisation across the various jurisdictions, and to be working with such an experienced and hardworking team who are fully focused on delivering for all our business partners.”
His appointment follows a series of senior hires at the firm, as Sancus seeks to expand its business across the UK. Earlier this year the lender hired Clare Tiffany Cuff and Steven Darbyshire as business development managers.
“Alasdair makes another extremely experienced addition to the Sancus team,” said Rory Mepham, chief executive of the Sancus Group.
“His knowledge, experience and unrivalled industry network makes him a perfect strategic fit for the business and our aggressive growth plans.”
