CrowdProperty appoints Ian McManus as chief technology officer
CrowdProperty has named Ian McManus as chief technology officer, as the peer-to-peer lending platform continues its hiring spree.
The residential property development finance provider said McManus has a 20-year track record of delivering disruptive, complex, technical projects through all stages of software platform delivery in both the US and the UK.
Previous roles include group chief technology officer at restaurant data firm Dining Alliance, and co-founder and chief technology officer of foodtech business FreshRealm, which grew from concept to $40m (£29.4m) valuation in less than 18 months.
He also held executive roles at tech firms InBlaq Consulting and Lateral Technology.

“Ian is a strategic technology evangelist with a history of driving innovation, delivering technical excellence and bringing compelling, intuitive experiences to the user – values which align with the existing innovative and customer-centric fintech / proptech approach that contributes to CrowdProperty’s market leading status,” said Mike Bristow, chief executive of CrowdProperty.
“The experience Ian brings in mentoring, coaching and motivating technical teams to successfully deliver products which make a real-world difference is very exciting in terms of both process efficiency and customer experience improvements that we are planning to continuously advance our services.”
McManus said that he looks forward to continuing to drive forward CrowdProperty’s tech strategy.
“The business is growing at a phenomenal rate, due in part to the digital processes and systems that are in place which enable key business efficiencies,” he added. “The focus on continuous improvement of the customer experience on both sides of the market through a data-learning, tech-enabled, analytics and expertise-driven approach is to be expected from disruptive businesses with innovative cultures like CrowdProperty and I very much look forward to collaborating with the team on this.”
CrowdProperty has made a number of top-level hires in recent months. Last October, it named former Weatherbys Bank executive Steve Morgan as chief financial officer and in September, it announced that ex-Thin Cats executive Damon Walford had joined as chief commercial officer.
