Maquarie hires credit head from Blackstone
Maquarie Asset Management has hired Linso Pals from Blackstone to head up credit within its client solutions group.
Pals (pictured) will lead global capital raising across Macquarie’s credit and insurance platform, covering both private and liquid credit strategies.
Based in London, Pals has more than 25 years’ experience in the industry. He joins from Blackstone where he was head of European institutional sales in the firm’s credit and insurance business. Prior to this, he spent more than a decade at JPMorgan Asset Management, latterly as head of institutional sales for EMEA ex-UK.
Adam Lygoe, head of institutional in Maquarie’s client solutions group, said the hire of Pals will help the business to cater for growing investor demand for credit.
“Linso brings extensive experience working with investors and a strong understanding of how their needs are evolving. As we continue to expand our global credit offering, his expertise and client perspective will be invaluable in helping us deepen relationships and broaden access to investors around the world,” he said.
Back in June, Maquarie appointed Bob Restrick as a senior adviser to expand its US real estate private credit platform.
Macquarie’s credit and insurance platform manages around £122bn across global fixed income, leveraged credit, CLO debt, CLO equity, and multi-asset credit.
