Remote working set to continue for finance and tech workers
The remote working trend is set to continue past the pandemic, with IT and finance professionals among the most likely to work from home going forward.
An analysis of recent job listings by law firm Wright Hassall found that many businesses are opting to forego physical offices and give staff the opportunity to work remotely.
40 per cent of IT job listings offer remote working, while almost one fifth (19.96 per cent) of finance positions can be carried out from home.

“The pandemic has changed the way many of us work, and it is likely that these changes will remain in place for quite some time,” said Wright Hassall.
“Despite Sunak’s warning that businesses who don’t return to their offices will face losing staff, many businesses are opting to work entirely remotely.”

The top three sectors for jobs offering remote working were IT, social media and digital marketing, and content creation.
Finance placed fourth on the remote working list, with engineering in fifth place.
Ten per cent of listings for customer service positions and 8.59 per cent of healthcare jobs offered remote working, while the real estate and construction sectors offered remote working options in 5.81 per cent and 2.96 per cent of roles, respectively.
