Estonian loan originations boost Bondora’s May performance
European peer-to-peer lending marketplace Bondora has reported €17,997,741 (£15,157,910) worth of loan originations in May.
The monthly loan originations were up by 17.1 per cent compared to April, when the total was €15,366,980.
The Estonian credit market stood out, having grown by 41.4 per cent from April. A total of €4,513,862 was originated, totalling the highest origination amount for Estonia (pictured) in 2024 to date.
Similarly, Finland had its highest origination amount for 2024, totalling €11,118,003.

In Latvia, the group’s newest market, originations grew from €74,304 in April to €137,052 in May, setting a new highest-ever amount for the region.
Bondora investors added €13,035,362 to their Go & Grow accounts in May, a 23.8 per cent decline from the total investment figure in April, which was €17,097,637.
There were 2,166 new investors in May, the highest number of new investors since January.
Finally, Bondora investors earned a total of €2,310,771 in returns on their investments in May.
