Silverstreak provides $20m private credit facility to Fingular
Singapore-based private credit firm Silverstreak Group has provided a $20m (£15m) credit facility to fintech group Fingular to support the expansion of its lending operations in Malaysia.
The facility will be used to grow Fingular’s near-prime consumer and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) financing business, taking total funding for its Malaysian lending operations to more than $50m.
Fingular offers conventional and Shariah-compliant financing products in Malaysia including consumer loans, micro-SME financing with terms of up to 14 months, and buy now, pay later (BNPL) services.
Its AhaPay BNPL platform is used by more than 2,000 merchants, while its wider Malaysian financial platform has over 2.6 million registered users.
The new facility will be monitored through Silverstreak IQ, the investment group’s risk management and analytics platform, providing ongoing oversight of credit and portfolio performance.

“This investment reinforces our strategy of backing lending fintech platforms that leverage cutting-edge technology to advance financial inclusion across Emerging Asia with long-term capital,” said Rajarajan Mohan, chief investment officer of Silverstreak.
“Fingular has built a growing ecosystem of consumer financing, BNPL and Shariah-compliant products that makes finance more accessible to underserved consumers. We look forward to growing our partnership as Fingular continues to scale.”
Konstantin Barabanov, general manager of Fingular, said the group had significantly strengthened its financial position since the start of 2026, with paid-up capital increasing fivefold to $37m and its capital adequacy ratio exceeding 25 per cent.
“Malaysia remains our priority market, where we see the strongest opportunities for growth and long-term shareholder value creation,” he said. “Our partnership with Silverstreak will help us advance this vision more efficiently and accelerate its execution.”
