Canyon names new CIO as it deepens AI integration
Global alternative investment manager Canyon Partners has named Chris Hansen partner and chief information officer as it looks to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its investment platform.
Based in New York, Hansen will oversee the firm’s technology strategy and infrastructure, including IT, data architecture and the integration of AI and alternative data, Canyon said.
Canyon, which has $30bn (£22.7bn) of assets under management, said Hansen will work closely with its investment and operating teams to further integrate technology and data across investment research, underwriting, portfolio management and firm-wide operations.

We are excited to welcome Chris to Canyon and look forward to further leveraging his expertise across the entire platform.”
