Triodos IM appoints fund manager of Hivos-Triodos Fonds
Impact investor Triodos Investment Management (IM) has hired Marie Heydenreich as fund manager of Hivos-Triodos Fonds, which is a public-private partnership between the Dutch development organisation Hivos and Triodos Bank.
Heydenreich, who joined Triodos IM in her new role on 1 June, was previously involved in two access-to-energy initiatives in Africa managed by Triple Jump, based out of Nairobi and Amsterdam.

Prior to this, she co-managed a €400m (£345.3m) fund of funds mandate focused on inclusive businesses in frontier markets.
Launched as a blended finance initiative in 1994, Hivos-Triodos Fonds aims to address climate change and its consequences, and to reduce inequality for low-income communities and vulnerable groups, such as women and young people.
It is also helping to drive the transition to a green economy, by encouraging the growth of businesses specialising in renewable energy and sustainable agriculture.

“Triodos IM’s mission to build a sustainable, fair, and inclusive society deeply aligns with my values,” said Heydenreich. “As fund manager of Hivos-Triodos Fonds, I’m excited to help expand energy access, strengthen sustainable food systems, and support people affected by climate change across emerging markets.”
Last year, Hivos-Triodos Fonds secured a €30m investment from FMO and OeEB accelerate sustainable social and economic development in developing countries, taking its assets under management to €95m.
