Edmond de Rothschild appoints group head of private markets
Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has appointed Anne-Laurence Roucher as group head of private markets as the firm looks to expand its alternatives platform.
Roucher (pictured) will oversee investment strategy and operations across private equity, infrastructure private debt and real estate, with a focus on the European manager’s commitment to impact investing and sustainable finance.

She will also join Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management’s executive committee and will report to Christophe Caspar, chief executive of Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management.
“The appointment of Anne-Laurence is a crucial milestone in the development of our private markets division,” said Caspar. “She is tasked with crafting a transformative vision for Edmond de Rothschild’s private markets, one that not only optimises our current framework but also propels us towards future growth.”
Roucher joins from €25bn (£21.6bn) impact asset manager Mirova (Natixis), where she spent more than a decade, most recently as deputy chief executive. Prior to that, she served as head of private equity and natural capital at Mirova, overseeing strategies focused on growth equity, agroecological infrastructure and climate finance.

Edmond de Rothschild currently manages €24bn in private markets strategies, including €13.6bn in real estate, €6.5bn in its infrastructure debt platform and €4.6bn in private equity assets under management.
The move comes as Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management established a private markets distribution team to support its expansion into alternatives in November last year.
