Apera appoints Sebastian Afflerbach as partner
Apera Asset Management has announced that Sebastian Afflerbach has rejoined the firm as a partner in its London office.
Afflerbach previously worked at the private debt asset manager between 2016 and 2017. Before rejoining Apera, he spent just over six years at European investment manager Kartesia.

Earlier in his career, Afflerbach was an analyst in leveraged finance at the banking group UniCredit, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Apera Asset Management, which has deployed €4bn (£3.5bn) to date, announced Afflerbach’s appointment on LinkedIn.

“His return comes at a pivotal time, as demand for tailored financing solutions continues to grow across the European lower mid-market,” the firm said. “With deep experience in private capital investing across the entire capital structure, Sebastian’s pan-European expertise will be instrumental as we continue to capitalise on opportunities in both sponsored and sponsorless lending markets.”
