Crescent Capital boosts bank capital solutions team with new hires
Crescent Capital Group has hired Juan Grana as managing director, who will lead the firm’s bank capital solutions team, focusing on credit risk-sharing transactions.
Doran Chernichen will also be joining the bank capital solutions team as managing director, with both Chernichen and Grana based in the firm’s London office.

The alternative credit investor said the appointments come as its bank capital solutions strategy seeks to capitalise on the growth of the significant risk transfer market.
Prior to joining Crescent, Grana was managing director, senior portfolio manager, and head of origination at Chorus Capital.
He has also worked at ArrowMark Partners, where he established the firm’s European offices and led investments in risk-sharing transactions, and spent more than a decade at Credit Suisse, where he co-led capital and credit risk modelling, before being appointed as managing director in credit structuring.

Chernichen, whose experience is in sell-side investment banking, has worked in senior roles at Standard Chartered and Credit Suisse, where he covered credit managers and sponsors, and specialised in the credit-risk sharing space.
Crescent manages $48bn of assets and is focused on below investment grade credit through strategies that invest in marketable and privately originated debt securities, including senior bank loans, high yield bonds, as well as private senior, uni-tranche and junior debt securities.
In August, Crescent Capital launched Crescent GP Financing Solutions, a new strategy to lend directly to private equity sponsors, which is part of its GP-LP Solutions Group.
