Investec Bank has appointed Daniel Emersleben as director in the European private credit management team, part of the direct lending platform.

Emersleben has more than 10 years’ experience in private credit and private equity. He previously worked as a director at Eurazeo, where he led and managed asset-based lending strategies for both industrial and maritime assets, focusing on providing alternative financing solutions to support the growth of European small- and medium-sized enterprises. He has also spent time at RIVE Private Investment and Rothschild.
“We are delighted to welcome Daniel to our team,” said Michael Miller, head of private credit management, direct lending, at Investec.
“His background in private credit and asset-based lending, combined with his proven track record in managing diverse portfolios, will be invaluable as we expand our presence in Europe.
“Daniel’s expertise will enable us to better serve our clients and strengthen our commitment to providing innovative financing solutions across the continent.”

“I am excited to join Investec and contribute to the growth of its direct lending business across Europe,” added Emersleben.
“There is significant opportunity in Germany, given the size of its economy and the historically low penetration of private equity, which has the potential to grow substantially.
“With the breadth of our offering, we are well-positioned to capitalise on this for our clients, and I look forward to working closely with the wider DACH team to unlock new opportunities.”
