Nuveen names new global head of real estate
Nuveen has appointed Chad W. Phillips as its new global head of Nuveen Real Estate, effective immediately.
In this role, Phillips will be responsible for $141bn (£109.3bn) in assets under management of commercial real estate equity and debt investments extending across 22 countries globally.
He will also chair the Nuveen Real Estate global executive leadership team, which oversees the platform’s strategic initiatives.
Phillips has been with Nuveen since 2019, and has almost 25 years of experience in real estate investing and portfolio management.

“Chad is known for his leadership style, investment expertise and consistent commitment to client service,” said Mike Sales, chief executive of real assets at Nuveen.

Phillips succeeds Chris McGibbon, who has decided to retire after almost 25 years at Nuveen.
