State Street Global Advisors hires private markets MD for EMEA
State Street Global Advisors has appointed Benedetta Balducci as its new managing director of private markets for the EMEA region.
Balducci will be based at the asset manager’s Dubai office and will lead the firm’s efforts in identifying opportunities for private markets, according to a company post on business networking site LinkedIn.
She will help to expand the firm’s products and solutions with a particular focus on the continued democratisation of the asset class, the post said.

Balducci has over a decade of private markets experience across funds, direct and co-investments, GP stakes, business development and placement activities, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She currently serves as executive fellow at the London Business School, where she teaches the private equity and venture capital course.

She previously worked at Federated Hermes, where she led the firm’s private equity business development activities in EMEA and served on the private equity investment committee, as well as being a member of the senior management team.
Prior to that, she held roles in Raymond James’ private capital advisory business and Generali.
“I look forward to collaborating with various teams across the company to further democratize the asset class, creating and commercialising new private markets products and solutions,” Balducci said in a LinkedIn post.
