Northleaf makes private credit promotions
Northleaf Capital Partners has made a series of internal promotions, naming two new managing directors in its private credit division.
The private markets investment firm has named CJ Wei managing director of private credit, speciality finance, based in New York.
Wei joined Northleaf in 2019 and focuses on the origination, evaluation and monitoring of the company’s asset-based specialty finance investments, including music royalties, healthcare receivables and litigation financing.
Meanwhile, Michelle Winters has been named managing director of private credit, investor relations, based in Toronto.

Winters has also been with Northleaf since 2019, and her work is centred around private credit fundraising initiatives and leading the private credit investor relations team.
Northleaf has also promoted Thibault Jarlegant to managing director of infrastructure, based in London.
The promotions were made in recognition of the individuals’ contributions to the growth of Northleaf’s global mid-market private equity, private credit, and infrastructure platform, the firm said.
Northleaf added that during 2024 the company saw another $2.7bn (£2.2bn) in investor commitments, bringing the total value of commitments raised to $27bn.

The company has made a dozen other promotions within its private credit team. These include naming Danielle Charney as a director of investor relations based in Toronto.
Jonathon Haigh has been named a director in London, while Jeremy Brock has been promoted to vice president, portfolio strategy and analytics, based in Toronto.
Georgia Pooley has been appointed vice president in London. And Michael Gilmore, Hayley Hughes, Samuel James, Jashan Miller, Thomas Staley, Patrick Trinh, and Ryan VanDagens have all been promoted to senior associates. Paulina Pogorzelska has been named manager in the firm’s Chicago office.
Northleaf has also made dozens of internal promotions in its infrastructure, private equity, business development, investor operations, corporate office and strategic distribution and marketing departments.
