Mayer Brown hires White & Case’s Chris McGarry to grow structured finance practice
Mayer Brown has boosted its structured finance practice with the appointment of Chris McGarry.
McGarry will be a partner in the law firm’s global structured finance and private capital groups.
He joins from White & Case, where he was one of the firm’s EMEA capital markets partners involved in the collateralised loan obligation (CLO) and securitisation work it does for clients in Europe.

Mayer Brown said that McGarry has significant experience advising arrangers, issuers and sponsors on securitisations including leveraged loan CLOs, infrastructure CLOs, commodities securitisations, residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities, consumer credit securitisations, whole-businesses securitisations and esoteric asset classes.
He advises clients across sectors including financial services, energy, metals, mining and agriculture. He also advises on a range of ESG and sustainability matters.
