Ambienta adds to credit fund team after “strong” year
Ambienta’s Sustainable Credit Opportunities fund grown to “full strength” since its first close in January, with new team members added and more than 200 deals screened to date.
Of those 200 deals, six have been executed since the start of the year, the asset manager confirmed.
This deployment was supported by “a number of experienced professionals with language capabilities and structuring skills covering all main European markets”, who have experience of working at leading private credit institutions, Ambienta added.
These hires have completed the build-out of the fund’s eight-strong team.

The fund’s portfolio currently consists of established companies with average double digit EBITDA margins and average revenue growth of more than 10 per cent. Geographies include Germany, France, UK, Italy and Ireland. All companies share the common theme of environmental sustainability as a driver of growth.
“We are pleased with the success of our proposition to offering mid-market companies access to financing,” said Ran Landmann, partner and chief investment officer, and Nishan Srinivasan, partner and head of origination at Ambienta.

“Our engagement with so many management teams, sponsors and family-owned businesses proves that environmental sustainability is a consistent driver of growth and performance.”
All of Ambienta’s investments are underpinned by research delivered by the firm’s sustainability and strategy team of scientists and engineers, who map out how environmental sustainability trends reshape value chains and create compelling investment opportunities.
“There is increasing awareness among LPs of what constitutes authentic sustainable investing in the credit space and that is a very positive development to witness,” said Laurent Donin de Rosière, partner and head of investor relations and strategic partnerships at Ambienta.
“We are thrilled to be able to deliver both an exceptionally well positioned product to our strong and growing investor base, and a unique opportunity for partnership to entrepreneurs.”
