Titanbay hires ex-BlackRock exec as co-CEO as it surpasses $1bn AUM
Private markets investment platform Titanbay has appointed former BlackRock EMEA head of retail Michael Gruener as co-chief executive and surpassed $1bn (£770m) in assets under management (AUM).
Gruener (pictured right) will join current chief executive Ossama Soliman (pictured left), a veteran technology executive at Amazon and two fintech unicorns.
Soliman will focus on the technology and operating the business, while Gruener takes the reins on the commercial side.

Gruener has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, having held key leadership positions at BlackRock and Goldman Sachs.
Titanbay is a private markets investment platform designed for wealth managers, private banks and their clients to access leading global private market funds.
It hit the $1bn AUM miletone a year after launching its B2B platform and growing six-fold year-on-year.

Gruener’s appointment follows a period of rapid growth at Titanbay, which includes securing 30 strategic partnerships, operations across 41 countries, and achieving more than 6x year-on-year growth.
