Gravis launches real asset investment management platform
Gravis Capital Management has launched a cloud-based investment management platform for real assets, infrastructure and real estate.
The platform – called Carapace – will offer an end-to-end solution for investment managers.
It will allow investment managers to see a complete view of their portfolios, including real asset deal pipelines and investments. The platform will also feature performance monitoring and reporting against KPIs, as well as financial reporting including cash flow forecasting and valuation.

It will also streamline operational workflows including integration with Microsoft PowerBI and Excel for bespoke reporting, and potential API links to Xero and Creditsafe, for bank feeds and counterparty monitoring.
“Carapace has been specifically built in response to what we felt was a lack of alternatives that could actually meet Gravis’s requirements, and the bespoke needs of infrastructure and real asset investors,” said Iryna Hanbury, portfolio manager at Gravis.

“The system has streamlined portfolio data, calculations and automated periodic reporting, freeing up time to ensure the team can focus on the most value-adding portfolio management tasks.”
Other features of the new platform include robust data governance through user access controls and audit trails and API compatibility for enhanced operational efficiency.
